Reworking an Outfit: Dinner with the girls revisited
Went back to the drawing board with some very constructive advice to fix up my 'dinner with the girls' ensemble from last week. I made myself stick with three of the original part of the outfit: boots, skinny black jeans, and blazer. In the end, these two looks came together and I think the outfit has a lot more mileage this way.
Look 1: with camel vneck close fitting undershirt and cowboy inspired belt
vneck - banana
belt - vintage
purse - 9 west
Look 2: paired long cream silk blouse with snug-fitting blazer
blouse - jones new york
Thanks for the advice, I think these both are a huge improvement over the original :)

i def like the new look! i think you should just go sans top under the blazer if you're feeling up to it - very hot!
1You're so cute
Def a big improvement, but I'm still not sure about the v neck and
the jacket, maybe a round neck top?
2ha, I'd only go for the bra look in a city when I'm travelling, but great idea. I do have this sparkly novelty bra that would be perfect for that.
Using a rounded neck top is a good idea. It's a very deep v-jacket and I was worried about too much fabric, but here there's not enough. I'll keep playing with it though! Good times. It's my mom's old blazer, I think there's a skirt hiding somewhere in the blazer that goes with it.
3I think that we're getting there! I would also like to see a smoother neckline..... and a larger bag............ The weight has to balanced with the boot!
4Oooh, thanks. One day this outfit will be super! This has been a fun little project though I have to say. Thanks for the comments, what a fun new hobbie to have fun with my clothes again!
5We all work on perfecting our outfits!....... Very happy to help!!! You are adorable!!!
