HELP ME CHOOSE!!!
Next week is my BFF's graduation and I'm stuck between these two dresses... Let me tell you a couple of things about this party so you get the whole picture...
**First of all, this is her university graduation, so the dress is not so prom-y :P
**It's at a really trendy club in a high-end part of the city.
**A lot of her friends are my friends too (we didn't attend the same university) so it's going to be MASSIVE!!!
**She went to a really cool -and pricey- private school, so everyone is going to rock amazing clothes!
**This is a cocktail party.

oh, in case you guys were wondering, the one in the left is a Biography burgundy bubble-hem dress with a Via uno belt (to butch it up a little hehe), and the right one is Zara dress?
OOOOH if you select the black one, please state your choice of shoes, otherwise, i'd look plain weird
lol
1I better like the black one going with those shoes which is longer(on your right foot i think). For me this look so feminine and chic. Maybe you could take some striking accesories, for instance silver (not necesarilly of course, but some other colour than black) little purse with you. I can't see your bracelet clearly but it looks so great here!!
Anyway, you'll look great if you feel good in clothes you are wearing, so have a great PARTY!
2OMG, thank you t100glam for making me remember to say that i'm not wearing any accesories other than that little bracelet bc any suggestions on the accesory department will be totally appreciated...
i feel like i'm just picking your brains and get a million ideas... you know it's only bc i trust all your great fashion sense, sugars!
thank you!
3Gabi, I must say that I prefer the first picture. Let me tell you why . . . burgundy is a pretty color and the bubble-hem is so trendy and young and it looks perfect on you. Just carry a clutch and put on some of your favorite jewelries and you will be the star of the night! Oh and never mind if you're just a guest and not part of the graduates. Am sure a lot of them will be in their little black dresses and I'd rather you stand out in that pretty burgundy dress than look like everybody else.
4I love the first look. It's more funky.
5Yea, I'm with jez and coco. Go with red... you know, the whole "lady in red" thing.
6Definitely the burgundy one! My eyes went immediately to you in in the red dress, and I barely even skimmed over the black dress. The first choice will get you noticed. ; )
7I have phenomenal opinion
eveyone likes the red one
)
8The 2 looks are fab but for this event I prefer the first look.
9Just add some jeweleries ( may be the same bangle you're wearing in the second ? )
Well I prefer the black one on you. I think the red one is a little bit too prom-ish which is what you are not aiming for
The shoe should definitely be the high sandal booties. Try on some red nail polish maybe
10I prefer the black dress with the peep toe pumps/shoes....add some pop out accessories...not too bold though and some nail polish that makes it stand out....

i think both are very cute. I say read though, it stands out more... you look so chic, and what i can see of the hair looks great!
12i like them both..im still debating :/ but i think you look perfect in the burgandy one, and there will probably be lots of girls in a LBD and it's no fun blending in
13hi darling,im a professional personal stylist so i dont mind giving my opinion ;o).
14You look gorge in both but I think the black looks more sophisticated, not because of the colour but more because of the fabric it is made from and thus it falls better than the burgundy bubble hem dress. You mentioned the event is going to be chic cocktail event,so the chicer the outfit the better. Also the fabric of the black dress looks more expensive and luxurious. You look like a million dollars in it ;o)
Finally the burgundy is also gorge but even though yes many girls might chose to wear black as the little black dress is a fave, the bubble hem is also very popular so i say go with the black as its always a classic.
pair with the ankle cut out booties to give it some individuality,a great clutch and jewellery and you'll be event ready.
which ever one you wear i know you will look gorgeous.
muah!
Marian
I would go for the little black dress since you can never go wrong with classics like this..
15maaaaaaaan this is not getting any easier for me...
well, first of all, THANK YOU for all your feedback... both sides bring excellent points to the table, and that's exactly why i'm having such a hard time deciding!!!
i have a couple days to think it through... wish me luck!... if everything fails, i'm going to prance around the house a couple hours in each dress just to know which one i feel more fabulous in LOL
again, thank you girls!!!
16the black dress with the booties OR another colorful heel. (like a hot pink or berry to follow a more seasonal trend) ..i would also ditch the rhinestone bracelet, and choose to layer more funky bangles on my wrist.
17The black dress makes you look longer and leaner with the pumps that look more elegant for the occasion. The other dress makes me think of chubbiness where I can tell there's none by the black dress.
18I LOVE the burgandy dress with those FABULOUS & HOT heels on the right.
Good
Luck Gabi!
19I love them both...the burgundy is a bit more individual, but I feel like the black with the cool booties looks more expensive (if that is what you are going for) good luck and you will look fab no matter what!!
20i love both, but i think the red is definitely a little funkier and the black is more classy-cool. i think it depends what you are going for.
ps. i'm new to the LB and you are one of my favs....pretty much everything you post is affordable and gorgeous....but you can't tell its from F21 or Zara for example...i love it!!!
21Black dress with the booties...and then add a bunch of long chain necklaces like the recent Givency runway style. I think the red one is a little prom-y, PLUS considering the time of year you might look like you're being festive, in which case you might as well wear some reindeer horns.
22LOL S!! i might as well!!
the new trend here is to put reindeer horns and a HUGE red nose on cars, so i could accesorize my jeep so the red dress makes sense, i guess!!
thank you SO much guys for your input!! you are the best!!
23man, gab, you look hot in both of these dresses! my first thought was for the black dress with the peep toes because it looks so elegant, but i love the burgundy also which is edgy with the bold belt. i don't think you can go wrong with either to be honest. but if you go with the burgundy, i would maybe do a dark nailcolor and only wear the peep toes since you have the bold belt i wouldn't think you would want bold shoes that make a bold statement also. though i love those funky booties! too cute. choices choices!
24you look fabulous in both, but i have to go with the black dress and cut-out booties. i'm not sure if it is just the way it photographs, but the material and cut on the red dress look a bit less luxurious than the black. the other is classic and chic. Stand-out accessories (like those shoes) will bring it beyond the basic LBD.
you have great style, and you will pull off whichever look you go for.
25Hey Gorgeous!
So... with that being said...... I will have to say that my choice is to go with the Black dress.. and the FIERCE HEELS!!!!! Whenever I have found
myself in a situation similar to the one that you are in.... I always chose to go with the elegant smart look... Also, even though the red dress is an *eye catcher*.... I personally find it
to be a bit on the *Junior Prom* side. Not to say that it isn't pretty.... because it is... It just doesn't seem to have that *I am as put together as I look*... kind of a look that the black
dress does...... No matter which you decided on though... I have no doubt that you will be the Bell of the Ball!!!
26I decided that I wasn't going to read any of the other comments so that I wouldn't be unduly influenced.....
BLACK IS HOT HOT HOT with the high, very classy, PERFECT BLACK!!! CAN YOU TELL I LIKE BLACK?? hee
27ooOooo Gabi... i must admit, i do really love these two looks!!! the first dress is gorgeous, what a beautiful color... it is really different than the black dress, more fun and i LOVE that you added the belt with it! Hmmm...tough decision, but I might go with the first dress...just because it is more fun (and you seriously loook fab!!!), also I would wear it with the shoes that you have on with it in the pic! Gluck with your decision and hope this helps! enjoy the party!!!!!! muah
