While the brick walls and built-in seating areas on the perimeter of this living room have the potential for chilliness (in looks as well as temperature), this possibility is assuaged by the super-cozy seating area tucked into the corner.
Creating your own cozy corner is a perfect way to transition into Fall weather. And, if you have kids returning to school, you can make this corner serve double duty as a reading corner as well.

While it's actually gotten down to freezing in California this Winter, usually we don't have to deal with really low temperatures, like many of you do in the rest of the country. Still when the temperature dips into the 30s, I always compensate for the chill with a few tried-and-true measures. Before showering, I always turn the space heater on and close the door to the bathroom, so the room gets nice and toasty before I bathe.

While I've featured many coveted cribs that boast sprawling square footage and designer furnishings, my favorite coveted cribs are those that display a true sense of identity and homeyness.
That is definitely the case with the lovely dwelling of blogger and Etsy seller Liane, whose house is truly a home, thanks to many personal touches, unique art, and an overall sense of cozy welcomeness. Liane writes, "My home is mostly thrifted, passed down, antique and handmade.

I have a tendency to want to hibernate a little when Winter rolls around, so out come the blankets and the comfy throw pillows. I love spending a snowy day curled up under a blanket with a mug of tea and a good DVD.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who indulges in some wintertime hibernating, so if you have someone in your life who's known for cozying up on the couch, give them what they want: more ways to get cozy!

Right now, all I want to do is go home, curl up on my couch with a bucket of popcorn, and catch up on old episodes of Lost. But, a cozy throw is a necessity for that kind of tube marathon. That's why for this week's Casa Craving Challenge, I'm asking you to hunt down and bookmark the best-looking, softest, most comfortable throws you can find.

Every Thursday on CasaSugar, I'll give you a decorating challenge and ask you to go Casa Craving for items that fit the look. (Here's a post explaining what a Casa Craving is and how to create one.)
The latest Casa Craving Challenge is inspired by the autumn season, which is when I always start hibernating a little more and delving into home projects and crafts. This month I'm going to start making homemade holiday cards, sew some Amy Butler curtains, and design and stitch bolster pillows.

This past week has brought with it a dip in temperatures, and has made me consider how I can give my porch an autumn-friendly conversion. So in this last Casa Craving Challenge, I asked you to design a cozy autumn porch that carefully considered its use during this season. Some of you created a cooly casual country look, like Danny Seo's porch from above, and others gave it a more eclectic look with some more funky materials and accessories.

The latest Casa Craving Challenge is inspired by the changing seasons and the new chill in the air. I love autumn, and I also like spending time in living spaces that bridge the divide between indoors and outdoors.
