When a swimwear line hails from Brazil, I'm all eyes. DiNeila Brazil has the most diverse range of silhouettes I've seen in a long time. Though I'm a the-skimpier-the-better kind of gal, diNeila designer Neila Granzoti Rudden is also well versed in creating cutout one-pieces and retro shapes, prints, and solids.

I own a ton of scarves but that won't stop me from trying out Bindya Lulla's fine selection of vibrant cozies. The FIT alum, and former handbag designer, creates some of the coolest printed scarves around. Just ask Hilary Duff or Amanda Seyfried; both have been spotted donning Bindya's pretty floral, abstract, and ethnic designs.

Yum must always dress like the hostess with the mostess — especially for the Fall and the holidays. Her look is feminine and streamlined, with a dollop of color. Classic gold hoops and ladylike nails polish off her look.

I've always been a fan of Chucks. They're comfy, iconically cool, and perfect for kickback days. You can imagine my excitement when found out I can make my own personalized pair with the brand's new custom creator tool.

The Flintstones would be so proud to see how their Stone Age fashions have influenced some of fashion's best. Peep Jeremy Scott's Spring '10 collection to see what I'm talking about. The quirky designer featured an awe-inspiring line based off the hit '60s cartoon complete with bone barrettes, bright colors, and animal prints.

Want to walk on the wild side? If you can't book a ticket to the Serengeti, why not sink your toes into some plush, safari animal-print rugs? Start with the Williams-Sonoma Zebra Crewel Rug (on sale for $199.99-499.99).

Crewelwork is a decorative form of surface embroidery that uses wool and a variety of different embroidery stitches, and dates back at least 1,000 years. The technique was trendy in the '90s (think granny tapestry) but it's been "out" for at least 10 years now. Back then, fabrics with crewelwork also tended to have a common style of pattern — see this bench — which now just looks stale.

HEALTH GUIDE REFERENCE FROM A.D.A.M
Highlights
New Guidelines for Children and Adolescents
In 2007, the American Heart Association (AHA) established new guidelines for assessing and treating high cholesterol in children and adolescents. According to the AHA’s scientific statement:
- LDL (“bad") cholesterol goals for children should be 190 mg/dL or less for children without heart disease risk factors and 160 mg/dL or less for children with heart disease risk factors.
- Children who are overweight or obese, as well as those with a family history of high cholesterol and heart disease, should get their cholesterol levels checked.
- For overweight and obese children with cholesterol imbalances, diet changes and exercise should be tried before drug treatment. For children with cholesterol imbalances who have a family history of cholesterol and heart problems, statins are the best first-line drug therapy.
Herbs and Supplements
- Garlic, whether raw or in supplement form, does not help lower LDL in patients with moderately high LDL levels, according to a 2007 Archives of Internal Medicine Study.
- Policosanol, a dietary supplement derived from sugar cane, has no effect on cholesterol, indicates a 2006 Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) study.
Diet Plans
- In a 2007 JAMA comparison study of four diet plans (Atkins, Ornish, Zone, and LEARN), the low-carbohydrate Atkins diet was best at raising HDL (“good cholesterol”) levels and lowering triglyceride levels, but did not affect LDL levels.
