Whether you're cooking a meal at home or going out to eat, if you're trying to lose weight, it's no secret that family-style dinners encourage us to eat more. When you have an empty plate in front of you and you see a whole array of different dishes to try, your eyes can be bigger than your stomach, and you can end up serving yourself a lot more calories than you would if you were just given a regular serving of food. It's just like going to a buffet.

Heidi Klum wasn't hiding much in the April issue of Allure. If you thought Gisele's shoot was daring, Heidi put on her swimsuit, shaving cream, or pretty much nothing to show off her post-baby body for the magazine. She's bounced right back after she and Seal welcomed their daughter Lou back in October, and up next they're prepping for their latest vow renewal ceremony.

90210 recently returned from a three-month hiatus with a bang: Gia and Adrianna locked lips, Naomi bared all, and Jasper blackmailed Annie. You would think we'd expect such jaw-dropping stunts by now, but cast member Tristan Wilds (aka Dixon) says the series still surprises him. I recently asked the actor for his take on what happens on camera — and off.

Spring is coming soon, but for many of us, we still have some cold nights ahead of us. This time of year I always try to make my favorite cold weather foods like soups, breads, and warm treats before Spring officially blows in. Here's one my family loves that's easy to make, tastes oh-so decadent, but is a great source of fiber and protein.

This weekend we change the clocks! That means the days will be lighter and longer. To celebrate the upcoming arrival of Spring, make this uncomplicated meal, chock-full of tender vegetables.

Robert Pattinson's Remember Me comes out on Friday, and his fans are so excited to see their favorite actor take on a serious leading role post-Edward Cullen. He chatted with Parade about confidence with girls, revealed what it was like to lose his beloved dog, and defended New Moon director Chris Weitz, who had his own self-criticism to share with Buzz last week. We got our first peek at a trailer for Eclipse and debuted the first segment of our contest to interview Pattinson — lots of Rob today!

There are plenty of foods to focus on during that transitory phase between Winter and Spring: cold-weather pleasures like fresh maple syrup, planting Summer seeds, new seasonal vegetables. From maple syrup to strawberries to seafood, the world is your oyster. Personally, I'd love to be in New York to watch Top Chef's Bryan and Michael Voltaggio face off at the James Beard House.

I'm of Irish descent, and St. Patrick's Day is one of my favorite holidays. Every March I do something different: last year I hosted a cocktail party with green appetizers; in 2008, I helped cook Irish-inspired snacks; and in 2007 I threw a special dinner with blarney stone cottage pie.

If all goes well, 2010 could be a blockbuster year for the Deen family. Southern cooking queen Paula Deen is planning a second eatery; meanwhile, sons Bobby and Jamie Deen are tapping into uncharted territory with a male-friendly food magazine.
Paula Deen, who rose to fame with her Savannah, GA, restaurant The Lady & Sons, hopes to repeat success with a new spot at Harrah's Cherokee Casino and Hotel in Asheville, NC.
