Gear Review: New Balance WX710 Cross-Trainer Shoes
When it comes to working out, I like to be outside. For outdoor runs I wear my Lunar Glides, and when I'm trekking in the mountains I stick to my Nike Wildedge approach shoes. Unfortunately, getting an outdoor workout isn't always in the cards, in which case, I hit the gym near my office.

I promised myself I'd sport them every single day for a year, so as to make every penny I paid for them worth it. Well, after only wearing them once, my little toes got red blisters on them and I had to break my promise...temporarily!

Irregular Choice shoes are a bit like Marmite – you either love or hate them. These nautical style flats (£74.99) are part of the new season collection and are available in red, blue and monochrome. I like the big bow on the front, but I'm not sure about the rope detailing.

Celeb Style: Jennifer Love Hewitt
Jennifer Love Hewitt debuted a new shorter 'do as she was seen en route to Koo Koo Roo in Los Angeles. She looked casual and comfortable in a long sleeved, striped Tart shirt that she paired with loose fitting jeans, platform shoes, and a Love Quotes scarf. To complete the look, she added hoop earrings and toted a Novella Royale studded bag.
Harley Pasternak Is Always on the Run
I was lucky enough to talk to celeb trainer Harley Pasternak, who shared a tip that seems perfect for the weekend. Harley says that the singular, most important piece of fitness advice he can offer someone is, "get a great pair of running shoes." On top of that, Harley says that you should always be wearing them, always.
